Asymmetrische Epoxidation (AE) Metallorganische Chemie TU Darmstadt 27.03.2017 Asymmetrische Epoxidation (AE) D-(-) Ti(OiPr)4 10% abs tBuOOH (+)-DET 11% Isooctan/DCM/Toluol -20°C, 4 Å R L-(+) The Asymmetric Epoxidation, or AE, involves the conversion of an allylic alcohol to an epoxy alcohol. Titanium (IV) isopropoxide is used as a catalyst and (+) or (-) diethyl or diisopropyl tartrate as a chiral ligand. Use of a chiral ligand allows t-butyl hydroperoxide to deliver an oxygen stereospecifically to the olefin, regardless of substitution pattern. Enantiomeric excesses are generally above 90%, often above 98%. Yields can range from 50% to 99%. R = Et: DET R = iPr: DIPT Metallorganische Chemie Prof. Boris Schmidt

Metallorganische Chemie
Metallorganische Chemie TU Darmstadt 27.03.2017 AE - Limitationen Mindestens 5M TBHP Lösung. JOC 1986, 1922. Ti(OBut)4 für verwenden (keine Epoxidöffnung) With a slight modification of the procedure, it is possible to effect a kinetic resolution of racemic allylic alcohols.
