Wie findest du Kunst? (How do you find art?)

Wie findest du Kunst? Ich finde Kunst Kunst ist fantastisch fantastic prima first-class toll great interessant interesting gut good einfach easy schwer hard doof stupid furchtbar awful langweilig boring

Do you remember how to say this? Ich mag gern Kunst

Now you can give a reason why you like it Ich mag sehrgern Kunst Es ist einfach (I like art very much ) (It is easy ) Sentence 1 Sentence 2

Let’s have a look how to make 1 sentence out of 2! Ich mag sehrgern Kunst Es ist einfach Ich mag sehrgern Kunst, weil es einfach ist (because)

What happened there? The conjunction ‘weil’ smells so ‘VILE’ that the verb (ist) runs a mile!!!! In other words: when you use ‘weil’, the VERB has to go to the END of the SENTENCE!

Let’s try another one Ich mag sehrgern Mathe Es ist prima Ich mag weil es prima ist

Now try a slightly different version Ich mag Musik Ich finde es toll Ich mag Musik, weil ich es toll finde

Now see if you can translate these sentences: 1. I like German because it fantastic is. 2. I like English because it first-rate is. 3. I don’t like Maths because it hard is. 4. I don’t like geography because it awful is. 5. I like French because I it easy find. 6. I like ICT because I it interesting find. 7. My favourite subject is Musik because the teacher super is!

Ich mag Deutsch, weil es fantastisch ist. Ich mag Englisch, weil es prima ist. Ich mag Mathe nicht, weil es schwer ist. Ich mag Erdkunde nicht, weil es furchtbar ist. Ich mag Französisch, weil ich es einfach finde. Ich mag Informatik, weil ich es interessant finde. Mein Lieblingsfach ist Musik, weil der Lehrer super ist.
