2 Strong Verbs in the Present Tense

3 Some German verbs are very strong willed
They do not exactly follow the pattern of weak or regular verbs They change with ‘Du’ and ‘er/sie/es’

4 One of these verbs is ‘fahren’
ich fahre wir fahren fährst du ihr fahrt Sie fahren Sie fahren er sie es sie fahren fährt

5 With countries and cities or towns, use the preposition ‘nach’.
Ich fahre nach Italien Fährst nach Spanien? du

6 A few countries are preceded by the article ‘die’, e. g
A few countries are preceded by the article ‘die’, e.g. ‘die Türkei’ (Turkey), ‘die Schweiz’ (Switzerland) and ‘die USA’ (USA).

7 With these countries, use the preposition ‘in’.
Ich fahre in die Türkei Fährst du in die Schweiz? Er fährt in die USA

8 Schreibe die Sätze auf Deutsch (Write the sentences in German)
1. I am travelling to Germany 2. My sister is travelling to the USA 3. We are travelling to Switzerland 4. I am travelling to Paris but my brother is travelling to Rom.
