Why? Our heritage .. Our pioneers were from Methodist, Baptist – strong on discipleship; so only need to add doctrines. 18 Eine Person investiert in das Leben einer anderen Person
Apg 11:22 – 26 Bestätigen (V. 23) – Barnabas war froh, als er de Gnade Gottes sah. Ermutigen (V.23) – Er „ermahnte sie alle, mit festem Herzen an dem Herrn zu bleiben.” Suchte aktiv nach Paulus (proaktiv) und lud ihn ein, mit ihm zu arbeiten. „Barnabas aber zog aus nach Tarsus, Saulus zu suchen. Und als er ihn fand, brachte er ihn nach Antiochia.” (V. 25f.) Barnabas und Paulus trafen sich mit der Gemeinde und arbeiteten miteinander. Das Ergebnis: Paulus lernte Barnabas Methode der Jüngerschaft kennen und wählte später Silas und Timotheus aus. Sucht nach potentielen Aufgaben für den neuen Gläubigen Hilft, ein persönliches Zeugnis zu schreiben Gibt weiter Bibelstunden, besucht und betet. MY COMMITMENT AS A SPIRITUAL GUARDIAN To: As a fellow Christian who has experienced the joy and challenges in Christian life, I would like to share this experience with those who are just beginning their walk with Jesus. I have felt the call from God, and have sensed the burden for your spiritual growth. Therefore, I am committed to be your spiritual guardian at least for the next one Jahr. By the grace of God, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I will: 1. Regularly remember you in my prayers, and take time to pray with you. 2. In kindness and love, be your friend. 3. Take time to visit you, to know your needs—physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. 4. Watch out for you at church services. And if you are absent from a meeting, I will inquire as to the reason, and let you know that you are missed. 5. Show genuine interest in you, yet being careful to leave you enough personal space. 6. Be an example to you and encourage you to look to Jesus as the example in the Christian walk. 7. Share with you what I have learned from the Bible. 8. Encourage you to build up a personal relationship with Jesus through Bible study and prayer. 9. Bring you along as I share my faith with others through Bible study or testimonies. 10. Encourage and support you as you learn to share your faith with others and serve God with your spiritual gifts. 11. Make arrangement for follow-up if either you or me will move away within the next 12 months.
