Position of adverbs As you probably know already, adverbs love verbs and always stay very close to them.

Have you noticed anything…? Sentence 2 started with Zum Frühstück In sentence 2 the subject ich and the verb esse swapped places

Aber warum? This is because the VERB is always the 2 nd idea in a sentence. An idea can be a word like oft (often) or a few words like Zum Frühstück or even a whole clause like Wenn ich Zeit habe (when I have time)
