Frauen in Entwicklungsländern Entwicklung in China, Indien, Emirate, Russland, Sri Lanka, Iran, Latein Amerika International Guidelines for Information Literacy In Buenos Aires gab es 20 Veranstaltungen oder Vorträge, die im Titel Information Literacy hatten In Berlin 7 Veranstaltungen oder Vorträge, die im Titel Information Literacy hatten. In Glasgow 9 Veranstaltungen oder Vorträge, die im Titel Information Literacy hatten (marketing, Weiterbildung in Workshop, Lernpsychologie Markless , ACRL Best Practices von Oberman, 3. Welt – Konzepte Sharjha, Malaysia) In Boston 9 Veranstaltungen bzw. Vorträge zum Thema User Education oder Information Literacy (Standards, Guidelines) homann@ub.uni-heidelberg.de

Der Weg zur „Information Literacy Section“ (ILS) Organisatorische Aspekte Workgroup User Education (1990-1992) Round Table on User Education (1993 – 2002) Information Literacy Section in Div 7: Education and Research (seit 2003) Aktive Länder / relevante Personen) USA (Kesselmann, Rader) UK (Webber) - Mexiko (Lau) Spanien (PASADAS-URENA ) Skandinavien (Tovote) Nach meinen Recherchen befasste man sich mit User Education in der IFLA bis 1993 als Workgroup. Die Aktivitäten in den USA im Bereich der User Education führten 1990 zur Gründung einer Workgroup. Nach drei Jahren, 1993, kam es zur institutionellen Etablierung als Round Table. Eine weitere organisatorische Stärkung wurde im Jahr 2002 formal 2003 erzielt. Seit Berlin hat Information Literacy bzw. User Education den Status einer Section. Als Information Literacy Section 1990 auch in der IFLA zum bis 1993 gab es erstmals ein Call for Paper von Kesselman für ein Roud Table Anfangs war die Aktivität stark von Schulen geprägt homann@ub.uni-heidelberg.de
