MED UP – Medical Upper Austria MED UP – Medical Upper Austria is an initiative strengthening the value added, the research, the training of professionals and the patient care in the health care sector of Upper Austria. The primary aim is to establish an institutionalized form of cooperation so that the medical, research and industrial sectors can reinforce each other and are able to provide their maximum contribution to strengthen Upper Austria as an economic, research and health location. Medical Engineering ist ein interdisziplinäres Forschungs- und Arbeitsgebiet an der Schnittstelle zwischen den Ingenieur- und Naturwissenschaften sowie der Medizin. Ziel ist die Entwicklung und Gestaltung neuer Geräte, Anlagen, Implantate und Technologien im medizinischen und klinischen Anwendungsbereich. DigitalHealth ist ein Sammelbegriff für den Einsatz digitaler Technologien im Gesundheitswesen und bezeichnet alle Hilfsmittel und Dienstleistungen, bei denen Informations-und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) zum Einsatz kommen. Die Technologien dienen der Vorbeugung, Diagnose, Behandlung, Überwachung und Verwaltung im Gesundheitswesen.   MedicalMaterials ist ein Sammelbegriff für Werkstoffe,die in der Medizin für therapeutische, diagnostische und/oder Forschungszwecke Anwendung finden.
