Einführung Miscanthus Anbau – 1993 / 96 Entwicklung und Patentiertierung des NAPAC Granultats und des Heisspressverfahrens Industrielle Fertigung des NAPAC Granulates und der Formteile – ab 1997 NAPAC started with the introduction of Miscanthus in the mid nineties in Switzerland and Germany. After the introduction of Miscanthus the search for a thermoplastic granulate started (thermoplastic = material that gets fluid or mouldable at high temperatures). Since 1997 NAPAC is manufacturing form parts, in 1999 the NAPAC BioPot was introduced on the market. Napac received several prices for this new technology: 8

4 NAPAC Organisation 8 Napac Switzerland:
NAPAC Schweiz AG is working closely with its distribution partner in Belgium, the Netherlands, UK and France. NAPAC and its partners are building a strong network not only for distribution but also for sales and marketing. A new Napac production facility will soon resume production in Switzerland. Further production sites are planned in the Netherlands and Germany. Napac Engineering; Napac The NAPAC Organisation is expanding at the moment. Focus is on starting up independent production units in Europe followed by the rest of the world. 8

5 Der Rohstoff  Miscanthus Sinensis Gigantheus: - Erntezeit – Februar / März - 1 Hektar hat einen Ertrag von 25 – 30 Tonnen pro Jahr - 2 Jahre nach Pflanzung kann bereits eine volle Ernte eingefahren werden - 1 Jungpflanze bedeckt ca.1m2 - Einkommen pro Hektaren ist mit anderen Kulturen (z.B. Weizen, Mais) vergleichbar Growing Mischanthus is easy and a profitable business for farmers, subsidised by governments. Miscanthus is one of the first crops used as an industrial raw material. Can be used to fill up set aside areas to grow a new long-term crop. 8

6 NAPAC Granulate 70% natürliche Fasern (Miscanthus) - 30% natürlicher Binder 100% biologisch und kompostierbar - DIN 54900 CO2 neutral Alternative zu Plastic Granulaten! The NAPAC Granulate can have different specifications although at this time we are working with only one kind (used for the NAPAC BioPot), others are in the development phase. The DIN norm guarantees that the NAPAC Granulate (and all products made of it) are 100% biological and compostable in an industrial compost installation. 8
