23 Auf Englisch  Person refers to any of the three types of subject pronouns that distinguish between the speaker (first person), the individual being addressed (second person), and the individual of thing spoken of (third person)  Number refers to the form that a word takes when it is singular or plural

24  The first person, the speaker, can be;  An individual speaking for himself: “I like playing tennis with Joel.”  An individual speaking for tow or more: “We also have other interests.”  The second person, the individual addressed, can be;  One person to whom you are speaking: “What are you doing today?”  More than one person to whom you are speaking: “What are y’all doing today?”  The third person, the person or thing spoken of, can be;  A reference to one male: He likes to listen to music.  A reference to one female: She plays tennis with Kristy.  A reference to an object or a thing (tennis): It is interesting.  A reference to more than one person or object (Mike and Ann): They are super!
