18 Page 18 L-Carn ® L-Carn ® 1g wir angewendet: -zum Ausgleich von Levocarnitin-Verlusten durch Defekte des sog. Carnitin-Transporters in der Zellmembran (Substitution bei primärem systemischen Carnitinmangel). -Zum Ausgleich von Levocarnitin-Verlusten, welche durch verschiedene Erkrankungen und als Nebenwirkungen bestimmter Behandlungsarten hervorgerufen sein können (Substitution bei sekundärem systemischen Carnitinmangel). -Zum Ausgleich behandlungsbedingter Levocarnitin-Verluste, welche als Folge einer Dauerbehandlung durch Blutwäsche bei Patienten mit Nierenversagen entstehen können (Substitution dialysebedingter Levocarnitin-Verluste bei chronischer Hämodialyse, d.h. als Folge eines sekundären Levocarnitin-Mangels). -Als Behandlungsversuch bei Sonderformen von Muskelschwunderkrankung mit begleitender Muskelverfettung, welche durch einen L-Carnitin-Mangel der Muskulatur bedingt sind (Muskeldystrophie mit Lipidakkumulation, die auf einem primären muskulären L ‑ Carnitin-Mangel beruht). 1.
