Agenda 1. Short introduction of GMK Clausius-Rankine-Process 2.1. ORC 2.2. working fluids ECOCAL®-Biomasseheizkraftwerk 3.1. Aufbau 3.2. Aufbau ORC-Modul 4. Aims in R&D work
1. Short introduction of GMK Engineering and selling of combined heat and power stations up to 2 MWel Construction and Engineering Realisation Marketing Research and Developmend
1. Short introduction of GMK - products ECOCAL® ORC-power stations used heat of thermal oil circuit at a temperature level of 320°C. Primary heat is delivered by biomass firing. GEOCAL ORC-power stations used geothermal heat at a temperature level higher than 95°C. INDUCAL ORC-power stations used industrial waste heat or exhaust gases.
2. Clausius rankine process
2.1. ORC - organic rankine cycle
2.2. Working fluids Carbon compounds Fluorated carbon compounds saturated (n-pentane) unsaturated (toluene) Fluorated carbon compounds perfluorated (perfluoropentane) partialy fluorated (Heptafluorpropane R227ea) Silicon oils Siloxane (Octamethyltrisiloxane) Ammonia (Kalina-Cycle)
3. ECOCAL®-Biomasseheizkraftwerk

4. Aims in R&D work The market of ORC-moduls for biomass is rapidly growthing in the last 5 years (6 – 10 moduls per year). The power generation with geothermal heat by ORC technology increases constantly since 1985. Use of industrial waste heat and heat of exhaust gases has a high potential for CO2 reduction. Individual solutions for industrial waste heat Uses of exhaust gases to increase the efficiency of biogas engines (for instance approx. 55 kW is additionally produced for an 1-MW-engine)
