Lesson Plan for Words You Know Suggested Language- “You know “is”, and if you know “is” it will help you know another word.” Make “his”. REMEMBER: Teach your students that to move a letter tile, they must have the cross with the four arrows (that is the move tool)! Have the children work in pairs at the computer. Using the letters on slide 2, the first child makes a word he/she knows on the left side of the “if you know” sheet. The partner changes one thing about the word and makes a new word on the right side of the slide. The first child then reads her partner’s word. After making 6 pairs of words, have the children choose one pair and write the first word on one side of an index card and the related word on the other side. Share index card(s) with the class. Begin making new words with “is”, “in”, “at”, “an”, “and”
