Listening Comprehension Kapitel 8 (Lehrbuch KONTAKTE) Thema: Essen und Einkaufen Level: 2. Semester Deutsch at University Level

Goals:  Students learn how to talk about their own eating behavior using the vocabulary which is presented in chapter 8 (review)  Cultural aspect 1: Students learn what healthy eating means for German people of their age; they compare their own understanding of it with other opinions  Cultural aspect 2: Students access a German Website for all kinds of recipes and learn about/review typical German food (but also dishes from other countries!!)  Communicative aspect (oral discussions)  Combination and integration of all language skills (speaking, writing, listening, reading)

While-Listening 2 – Matching (identifying; matching info)

Gehen Sie mit Ihrem Partner auf und finden Sie ein passendes Rezept. Arbeiten Sie zusammen mit dem Partner! Wie heißt das Gericht? Welche Lebensmittel müssen Sie dafür im Supermarkt einkaufen?  Machen Sie mit Ihrem Partner eine Einkaufsliste!

Post-Listening 2 – Writing (homework) (longer written production: students are already familiar with how to write recipes; practiced in the lesson before) Unser Online-Kochbuch German 1020 Schreiben Sie das Rezept Ihres Lieblingsgerichts auf! Sie können zusätzlich ein Bild davon einfügen. GERMAN 1020 Kochbuch Recipes are corrected by teacher (if student wishes so) and then uploaded to an online platform by students that every class member can access. Cookbook then shared with everyone!
