Modals – mögen, möchten, müssen, wollen Modals auxiliaries (helping verbs) help to set the mood of the particular sentence in which they occur. Ex. Anne likes to read a book Anne would like to read a book.
modals When using a modal auxiliary, it is very important to remember that the infinitive of the main verb is placed at the end of the sentence. The modal appears in the position normally held by the verb. modal verb Ex. Anne mag ein Buch lesen. Anne möchte ein Buch lesen.
