29 May /25 German reflections on a model for study grants for full studies abroad (English version) A great advantage of this model is the effect of great relief on the capacity of the German higher education system that can be achieved in the short term, since a complete place at a university missing in Germany can be replaced per student who completes all of his bachelor studies abroad. Depending on the financial set-up of the study grants for studies abroad, such a solution could also be more advantageous with regard to the direct costs than creating an equivalent place at a university in Germany.
