Schneewittchen One of the Grimm Brothers’ most famous fairy tales, Schneewittchen (Snow White) was first published in 1812 and was made into an animated film by Walt Disney in 1937

Die Geschichte Each member of your group will be given three or four random parts of the Schneewittchen story in German. You will hear the story all the way through. When you hear one of your parts of the story being read, you must put it face down in the middle of the table. By the end, your group will have a full story in the correct order!

Vor langer Zeit ist ein kleines Mädchen geboren Vor langer Zeit ist ein kleines Mädchen geboren. Sie heißt Schneewittchen. Ihr Vater ist der König und ihre Mutter ist die Königin. Leider stirbt ihre Mutter bei der Gerburt. Ihr Vater findet eine neue Königin aber diese Königin mag Schneewittchen nicht. Die neue Königin will dass Schneewittchen wie ein Dienstmädchen lebt. Schneewittchen muss jeden Tag arbeiten. Schneewittchen wird sehr schön und eines Tages kommt ein Prinzen, der sich in Schneewittchen verliebt. Die Königin fragt ihren Spiegel: ‘Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand, wer ist die Schönste im ganzen Land?’ Der Spiegel antwortet: ‘Frau Königin, Ihr seid die Schönste hier, aber Schneewittchen ist tausendmal schöner als Ihr.’ Die Königin ist sehr eifersüchtig. Sie fragt einen Jäger Schneewittchen zu töten. Der Jäger will Schneewittchen nicht töten. Schneewittchen geht in den Wald und findet ein kleines Haus. Im Haus wohnen sieben Zwerge. Sie sind sehr nett und sie lassen Schneewittchen im Haus mit ihnen wohnen.  

Die Königin will noch Schneewittchen töten Die Königin will noch Schneewittchen töten. Sie verbergt sich und gibt Schneewittchen einen giftigen Apfel. Schneewittchen stirbt. Die Zwerge sind so traurig und legen sie in einem Sarg aus Glas. Eines Tages kommt der Prinz zurück. Er sieht Schneewittchen im Sarg und er küsst sie. Schneewittchen wacht auf und alle sind froh. Schneewittchen und der Prinz heiraten sich und sie leben glücklich miteinander bis ans Ende ihrer Tage. Das Ende.
