SEIN is used with intransitive verbs indicating a change of position or condition and the verbs: sein bleiben the past participle a. regular verbs: ge + stem + (e)t kaufen: gekauft kosten: gekostet b. irregular verbs: ge +[ special form ]+e n kommen: gekommen nehmen: genommen

2 Present Perfect Tense incl. modal Present tense: Ich rufe dich an. Perfect tense :Ich habe dich angerufen. Present tense: Ich muß dich anrufen. Perfect tense: Ich habe dich anrufen müssen. _____________________________________ In the perfect tense modals appear at the end of the phrase in the infinitive! the main verb is also in the infinitive. The aux. for modals is always “HABEN”
