and MIBB- Symposium 24th August 2017 Programm MIBB Interventions Workshop Vormittag Do This year`s MIBB event comprises two parts, an intervention-workshop (hands-on vacuumbiopsies) in the morning and the MIBB Symposium in the afternoon. Both the MIBB-events can be visited independently from reach other or be combined. The MIBB-event is held together with the Swiss Congress of Senology (25th August) in Sursee Leitung: Dr. G. Kampmann / Dr. C. Kurtz Veranstaltungsort: Kantonsspital Sursee/ Kurssprache Deutsch Der Interventionsworkshop Minimal Invasive Brust Biospien (MIBB) am Vormittag richtet sich als offizieller Zertifikatskurs an Newcomer. Die Teilnehmer werden über die Historie der MIBB-Gruppe informiert und in die Schweizer Datenbank für Vakuumbiospien eingeführt. Es werden Hilfestellung zur Durchführung von sonografischen/stereotaktischen/ tomosynthetischen und MR- Vakuumbiopsien gegeben. Am Kursende wird ein Zertifikat über die selbstständige Durchführung von Vakuumbiopsien am Phantom ausgestellt Kurssprache : deutsch In the afternoon the official MIBB Symposium is in particular adressed at more experienced senologists but also welcomes beginners. The focus of this year`s event is on imaging and interventions in the context of neoadjuvant therapy. Regarding recent study results the interventionalists (radiologists and gynecologists) will have an even more important role. One issue is for example if after neoadjuvant therapy a repeated vacuumbiopsy in the former tumor area is important. Even greater discussions ensue about the management of lymphnodes: (1) Should the sentinel-node-biopsy better be performed before or after the chemotherapy and (2) is it possible to carry out a sentinel-node-biopsy of lymphnodes that were primaraly positive but converted to clinical negative after chemotherapy. Which lymphnodes should the interventionalist (radiologist or gynecologist) then mark before the chemotherapy and how is it done ? Language: English 8.00 Einführung G.
