Koschny The SSA-NEO segment shall be aware of the positions and physical properties of near-Earth objects (NEOs). It shall assess their impact probabilities, effects, and possible mitigation activities. Kleinplanetentagung 2012, Berlin

2 NEO Services (S1) Issue NEO impact warnings and news releases. - Einschlagswarnungen und aktuelle Informationen rausgeben (S2) Provide direct access to data in the NEO database. - Freien Zugriff auf die SSA-NEO Datenbank (S3) Provide access to data in the NEO database via registration. - Für bestimmte Daten: Zugriff nach Registrierung (z.B. Bilddatenbank) (S4) Perform additional observations. - Beobachtungen durchfuhren (S5) Provide high priority information. - Informationen hoher Wichtigkeit verteilen (an bestimmte Personen) (S6) Provide educational and PR material. - Material für Schulen und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit (S7) Provide user tools. - Software z.B. Visualisierung von Sichtbarkeit
