Am Wochenende Nach der Schule Abends Jeden Tag Vor der Schule

Position of adverbs As you probably know already, adverbs love verbs and always stay very close to them.

Lets have a look… Ichleseabendsein Buch 123 Abendsleseichein Buch

Have you noticed anything…? Sentence 2 started with the adverb Abends In sentence 2 the subject ich and the verb lese swapped places

But why…..? This is because the VERB is always the 2 nd idea in a sentence. An idea can be a word like Abends or a few words like Nach der Schule or even a whole clause like Wenn ich Zeit habe (when I have time)

Now try and rewrite the second sentence starting with the adverb Morgens IchtreibemorgensSport 123 MorgenstreibeichSport

Mein Brudersiehtjeden Abendfern And here are some more sentences for you to practice Mein Freundgehtsamstagseinkaufen Wirmachennach der SchuleSport Ichhörejeden TagMusik Meine Elternlesenabendsim Bett

Jeden Abend sieht mein Bruder fern. Samstags geht mein Freund einkaufen. Nach der Schule machen wir Sport. Jeden Tag höre ich Musik. Abends lesen meine Eltern im Bett.
