The Pefect Tense By Abbie (:

The Rule I have Ich Habe You Have Du Hast He/She Has Er/Sie Hat We Have Wir Haben You Have Ihr Haben They Have Sie Haben You Have Sie Haben The verb will go to the end of the sentence and you place a ge in the front of it. E.G Ich habe Tennis gespielt

Christina und ich haben Tennis gespielt. If you had to translate Me and Christina played tennis How would you write this? And what goes to the end? Christina und ich haben Tennis gespielt.

Here are some examples I watched DVDs Ich habe DVDs gesehen Try These I Had Breakfast I Played Football I surfed the internet I visited friends This is an exception and we do not need to place a GE in the front. Ich habe Freunde besücht Ich habe gefrühstückt Ich habe im Internet gesurft Ich habe Fuβall gespielt

Aber If You want to say you went some where you are moving, you don’t say you have went you say Ich bin ins Kino gegangen. I went to the cinema

gekommen  arrived/came geschwommen  swam abgefahren  departed Words like geflogen  flew gekommen  arrived/came geschwommen  swam abgefahren  departed ankommen  arrived gefahren  travelled/drove These Words will be “ Bin “ Instead of Habe because you are travelling. But It will not always be “ Bin” It All depends on who's saying what.

I Am Ich bin You Are Du bist He/She/It Is Er/ Sie/Es ist We Are Wir sind You Are Ihr seid They Are Sie sind

Hint : Which verbs show that somebody is travelling? Haben Oder Sein? bin Ich ……Chips gegessen Du ……. Kinos gegangen Wir…....in die Schweiz gefahren Sie……. ein Handtuch vergessen Sie……. geschwommen bist sind haben sind Hint : Which verbs show that somebody is travelling?
