When people think about Germany, they usually think of……

Today we are going to be learning about Germany and the Germans who have left their mark on this world!

First, a little history...

There are 4 major German- speaking Countries:

Germany has a population of around 90 million people and is the largest German- speaking country in the world.

Austria is the 2 nd largest German- speaking country with a little over 8 million residents.

The population of Switzerland is around 7.5 million strong! It is a small but gorgeous country in Europe.

Liechtenstein is a small country located in between Switzerland and Austria. It is famous for its stamps. It has a approximately 34,000 inhabitants.

So, lets see if you can name the 4 German-speaking countries: Deutschland (Germany) Österreich (Austria) Schweiz (Switzerland) Liechtenstein (Liechtenstein)
