Report Development Library Entwickler Entwickler & Power-User Berichtsdesigner Reporting Server für Bereitstellung und interaktive Reporting End-anwender End-anwender & Power-User Interaktive OLAP Daten Analyse JasperReports is the original JasperSoft product. It began as an open-source reporting library used by Java developers to add reporting capabilities to their applications. Its API contains methods to execute the complete report lifecycle, starting with a JRXML report template and finishing with a completed, viewable report. iReport is a graphical desktop application used to create JRXML templates and AdHoc topics. It includes a JasperServerplugin that allows report designers to upload templates to JasperServer quickly and easily. Since version 3.1, it is built on the NetBeans framework. JasperServer is a J2EE compliant web application primarily used to serve reports to a wide audience. It includes a scheduler for scheduling report runs and emailing results without user intervention. JasperServer is available in two versions: Professional and Community supported. The professional version adds the ability to create and run AdHoc reports from either report templates (topics) and domains. The professional version also supports dashboard creation. Dashboards allow for the creation of mashups of two or more reports, with input controls to feed parameters for one or more of them. JasperAnalysis is an optional add-on feature of JasperServer. Its purpose is to provide OLAP integration for multi-dimensional data analysis. It uses the JPivot UI component to display data from MDX queries. JasperAnalysis uses Mondrian 3.0 as its OLAP engine. The Schema Workbench is a desktop GUI tool used to create OLAP cubes and schemas for deployment to JasperAnalysis. JasperETL is a graphical desktop tool used to build data warehouses and datamarts from existing data sources. It’s built on top of the Eclipse platform.
