Mose 3 / Exodus 3 1 Mose aber hütete die Schafe Jitros, seines Schwiegervaters, des Priesters in Midian, und trieb die Schafe über die Wüste hinaus und kam an den Berg Gottes, den Horeb.  2 Und der Engel des HERRN erschien ihm in einer feurigen Flamme aus dem Dornbusch. Und er sah, dass der Busch im Feuer brannte und doch nicht verzehrt wurde.  3 Da sprach er: Ich will hingehen und diese wundersame Erscheinung besehen, warum der Busch nicht verbrennt.  1 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.  2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.  3 So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.” 1 Moïse faisait paître les brebis de son beau-père Jéthro, prêtre de Madian. Il mena son troupeau au-delà du désert et parvint jusqu'à Horeb, la montagne de Dieu1.  2 L'ange de l'Eternel2 lui apparut dans une flamme au milieu d'un buisson : Moïse aperçut un buisson qui était tout embrasé et qui, pourtant, ne se consumait pas.  3 Il se dit alors : Je vais faire un détour pour aller regarder ce phénomène extraordinaire et voir pourquoi le buisson ne se consume pas.

2. Mose 3 / Exodus 3 4 Als aber der HERR sah, dass er hinging, um zu sehen, rief Gott ihn aus dem Busch und sprach: Mose, Mose! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich.  5 Er sprach: Tritt nicht herzu, zieh deine Schuhe von deinen Füßen; denn der Ort, darauf du stehst, ist heiliges Land!  6 Und er sprach weiter: Ich bin der Gott deines Vaters, der Gott Abrahams, der Gott Isaaks und der Gott Jakobs. Und Mose verhüllte sein Angesicht; denn er fürchtete sich, Gott anzuschauen.  4 When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”  5 “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”  6 Then he said, “I am the God of your father,1 the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. 4 L'Eternel vit que Moïse faisait un détour pour aller voir et il l'appela du milieu du buisson : Moïse, Moïse ! Je suis là, répondit Moïse.  5 Dieu lui dit : N'approche pas d'ici, enlève tes sandales, car le lieu où tu te tiens est un lieu sacré.  6 Puis il ajouta : Je suis le Dieu de tes ancêtres, le Dieu d'Abraham, le Dieu d'Isaac et le Dieu de Jacob3. Alors Moïse se couvrit le visage car il avait peur de regarder Dieu.

2. Mose 3 / Exodus 3 11 Mose sprach zu Gott: Wer bin ich, dass ich zum Pharao gehe und führe die Israeliten aus Ägypten?  12 Er sprach: Ich will mit dir sein. Und das soll dir das Zeichen sein, dass ich dich gesandt habe: Wenn du mein Volk aus Ägypten geführt hast, werdet ihr Gott dienen auf diesem Berge.  13 Mose sprach zu Gott: Siehe, wenn ich zu den Israeliten komme und spreche zu ihnen: Der Gott eurer Väter hat mich zu euch gesandt!, und sie mir sagen werden: Wie ist sein Name?, was soll ich ihnen sagen?  14 Gott sprach zu Mose: Ich werde sein, der ich sein werde. Und sprach: So sollst du zu den Israeliten sagen: »Ich werde sein«, der hat mich zu euch gesandt. 11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”  12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you2 will worship God on this mountain.”  13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”  14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.3 This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’ ”  11 Moïse dit à Dieu : Qui suis-je, moi, pour aller trouver le pharaon et pour faire sortir les Israélites d'Egypte ? 12 Je serai avec toi, lui répondit Dieu. Et voici le signe auquel on reconnaîtra que c'est moi qui t'ai envoyé : quand tu auras fait sortir le peuple hors d'Egypte, vous m'adorerez sur cette montagne-ci. 13 Moïse reprit : J'irai donc trouver les Israélites et je leur dirai : « Le Dieu de vos ancêtres m'a envoyé vers vous. » Mais s'ils me demandent : « Quel est son nom ? » que leur répondrai-je ? 14 Alors Dieu dit à Moïse : Je suis celui qui est6. Puis il ajouta : Voici ce que tu diras aux Israélites : Je suis m'a envoyé vers vous.
