3 To give a command in the du form: 1 – Conjugate the verb to match du 2 – Drop the “st” 3 – Drop the subject du 4 – If the verb now ends in –d, -t, -ig, -m or –n, add an “e”. 4 ihr To give a command in the ihr form: 1 – Conjugate the verb to match ihr 2 – Drop the subject ihr zum Bespiel: Ihr lest das Buch. Lest das Buch! Read the book.
