1 Location Central Pasco County, east of Land O Lakes About the Property Purchased to provide flood protection and serve as a public water supply, Cypress Creeks floodplain helps filter and assimilate nutrients in runoff waters. Cypress Creek Well Field serves as an important source of water for the surrounding region and is owned and operated by Tampa Bay Water (TBW). Cypress Creek is a tributary of the Hillsborough River. Within the property, the creek threads its way through an expanse of cypress and hardwood forests. Slash pine, longleaf pine and palmetto grow on the higher ridges, which are collectively known as Florida flatwoods. Ein Regen - Spaziergang durch Cypress Creek

10 Hier sollte eigentlich ein kapitaler Keiler zu sehen sei, der unsern Weg kreuzte, doch leider war die Kamera nicht so schnell betriebsbereit. Schade. Auch die Herde Frischlinge war viel zu schnell wieder im gegenüberliegenden Gebüsch verschwunden. Die Jahre fordern wohl ihren Tribut.

14 Trotz Regen war es schön. Die Luft war frisch und angenehm kühl. Die fallenden Regentropfen und der Wind der durch die Bäume strich hat den Eindruck plätschernden Wassers vermittelt. Einige Bäume haben begonnen die ersten zarten Herbstfarben zu zeigen. Es war ruhig und friedlich auf diesem Flecken Erde.
