2 New Gate The New Gate is one of the four city gates of Neubrandenburg. It is located on the east side of the medieval fortifications. It was build in the second half of the 15th century. Its foregate and connecting walls had to be broken down in 1852. The New Gate was build in a New- Gothic style. Only the main gate has survived. Today there are the houses of the Fritz- Reuter- Society.

3 Das Neue Tor Das Neue Tor ist eins der vier Stadttore Neubrandenburgs. Es befindet sich an der Ostseite der mittelalterlichen Befestigungen und wurde in der 2. Hälfte des 15. Jahr- hunderts erbaut. Das Vortor und die Verbindungsmauern wurden 1852 abgerissen. Das Neue Tor wurde im Neugotischen Stil erbaut. Nur das Haupttor ist erhalten geblieben. Heute befindet sich dort die Fritz-Reuter – Gesellschaft.

4 Stargard Gate The Stargard Gate was build in the early 14th century. On the inside of the walls there are 9 life- size terracotta figures. They are looking over the town. The rich decorations of the gate, especially its outer parts, demonstrate the civic pride of the towns citizens.

5 Stargarder Tor Das Stargarder Tor wurde im frühen 14. Jahrhundert erbaut. Innerhalb der Mauern befinden sich 9 lebensgroße Terrakotta - Figuren. Diese blicken über die Stadt. Die reichen Dekorationen des Tores, besonders der äußeren Teile, demonstrieren den Stolz der Stadtbewohner.

6 Friedland Gate The Friedland Gate was constructed around 1300 in a style between Romanesque and Gothic. It is the most ancient of the 4 city gates. In front of the outer gate a semi- circular ring work was erected in the 16th century. In the tower of the gate there are a picture gallery and a cafeteria, today.

7 Friedländer Tor Das Friedländer Tor wurde um 1300 im Stil zwischen Romanik und Gotik errichtet. Es ist das älteste der vier Stadttore. Vor dem äußeren Tor wurde im 16. Jahrhundert ein halbkreisförmiger Ring erbaut. Im Turm des Tores sind heute eine Galerie und ein Café.

8 Treptower gate The Treptow Gate was built in the middle of the14th century. Its 31.80 meters high. It is the towns most magnificant gate and it is the highest of the four city gates. It was finished in the early 15th century. In 1856 a telegraph office was added. Today a regional museum and a permanent exhibition about the early history are located in the main gate. 9 Treptower Tor Das Treptower Tor wurde in der Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts erbaut. Es ist 31,80 m hoch. Es ist das imposanteste und höchste der vier Stadttore. Der Bau wurde im frühen 15. Jahrhundert fertig gestellt. 1856 wurde ein Telegrafenbüro installiert.
