- -e -n -s Umlaut Please remember: There is no general rule for the German plural, only patterns. You have to learn it with the vocabulary. Still, one thing remains consistent: the article “die”.

Homework Write down two things you like and two things you don’t like to eat (If you don’t know the word, look it up in a dictionary). “Ich esse (nicht) gern … ” “Ich mag (kein/e/n) … ” Write down what you (usually) have in your fridge (Kursbuch, Seite 51, Nummer 1).
