Present tense (das Präsens) When forming the present tense of weak verbs, the endings - e, st, t, en, t, en are added. spiele ich du er/sie/es wir ihr Sie/sie spielst spielt spielen spielt spielen

Present tense (das Präsens) If the root of the verb ends in a t, d, z or s then an extra e must be added in the 2nd, 3rd person singular and the plural you before the endings - e, st, t, en, t, en are added. arbeite ich du er/sie/es wir ihr Sie/sie arbeitest arbeitet arbeiten arbeitet arbeiten

Conversational Past tense (das Pefekt) In order to form the present perfect in German, you will need to use a helping verb (Hilfsverb) and a past participle (Partizip II). These components are also used to form the present perfect in English but the placement in different. Look at this sentence in English. Past Participle I have played Soccer. Helping Verb

Remember how it is formed? Past Participle I have played Soccer. Helping Verb Partizip II Ich habe Fussball gespielt. In German the Past Participle is placed at the end of the sentence. Hilfsverb

Future tense (das Futur) Remember, to form the future tense you will use a conjugation of the verb werden. It’s meaning corresponds with the English word will. Ich Du Er/sie/es Wir Ihr Sie/sie werde wirst Vowel changes from e to i. wird Vowel changes from e to i. werden werdet werden

When you use werden in a sentence the important thing to remember is that it pushes the other verb to the end of the sentence. Example 1: I will learn German. Ich werde Deutsch lernen Example 2: We will buy the car. Wir werden das Auto kaufen Example 3: Will you play soccer? Wirst du Fußball spielen?
