The Perfect Tense is made up of 2 parts Most verbs take the conjugated form (in the present tense) of ‘HABEN’ (to have) + Past Participle the bit at the END of the sentence!!!! Ich habe….gespielt (I played)

Hier haben wir das Verb ‘HABEN’! ich habe I have du hast you have (informal; singular) er (e.g. mein Bruder) hat he (e.g. my brother) has sie (e.g.meine Mutter) hat she (e.g. my mother) has wir haben we have ihr habt you have (informal; plural) sie (e.g. meine Eltern) haben they (e.g. my parents) have Sie haben you have (formal; sing+plural) 5

Und jetzt teste dich! ich habe I have you have (informal; singular) du hast you have (informal; singular) er (e.g. mein Bruder) hat he (e.g. my brother) has sie (e.g.meine Mutter) hat she (e.g. my mother) has wir haben we have ihr habt you have (informal; plural) sie (e.g. meine Eltern) haben they (e.g. my parents) have Sie haben you have (formal; sing+plural) 6

How do you form this ‘Past Participle? Take the infinitive, e.g. Take away the ‘en’ ending Insert ‘ge’ and ‘t’ That’s it for WEAK or REGULAR VERBS! EASY!! spielen spiel gespielt

This is what the perfect tense looks like for all the different pronouns (e.g. Ich/du/er etc) ich habe... gespielt I played du hast... gespielt you played er (e.g. mein Bruder) hat... gespielt he played sie (e.g.meine Mutter) hat… gespielt she played wir haben... gespielt we played ihr habt... gespielt you played sie (e.g.meine Eltern) haben. gespielt they played Sie haben... gespielt you played 8
