Some verbs like ‘gehen’ totally do their own thing and have the conjugated form of ‘sein’ (to be) + PAST PARTICIPLE

Verbs that take ‘sein’ instead of ‘haben’ are usually verbs that express movement, e.g. going or travelling from A to B Verbs showing a change of state also take ‘sein’ A big exception is the verb ‘bleiben’ (to stay) which also takes ‘sein’ (to be)
