Adjektiven der grüne Baum Der Baum ist grün. die rote Blume Die Blume ist rot. das blaue Meer Das Meer ist blau. die gelben Bananen Die Bananen sind gelb. *When adjectives come before the noun, they need adjective endings. If they are predicate adjectives (come later in the sentence) they do NOT need endings. Exception: colors ending in ‘a’, like rosa and lila, do NOT get endings at all. die lila Hose (the purple pants)

Farben als Nomen (colors as nouns)
When using the color word as a noun, it is always neuter, : das Rot. When describing something, you may use the color as a noun. Example: Die Jeans in Blau, (The jeans in blue) Das T-Shirt in Schwarz, (the t-shirt in black) Remember: All nouns are capitalized, ALWAYS!
