3 Škoda lásky sa v roku 2000 stala víťazom v ankete Najlepšia pieseň storočia. Skladba vznikla v roku 1927 ako Modřanská polka, bez textu. Ten bol k piesni pridaný až v roku 1934 Václavom Zemanom. Budúci rok potom s názvom "Rosamunde" dostáva v Nemecku zlatú platňu za milión predaných platní. O päť rokov neskôr sa už hrá pod názvom "Roll Out the Barrels" po celých USA. Majú ju vo svojom repertoári slávne "Andrew Sisters", Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman a ďalší. Najväčšieho úspech dosiahla v druhej svetovej vojne, kedy ju spievali ako nemeckí vojaci, tak aj vojaci americkí a anglickí, v domnienke že je to pieseň ich. Po vojne sa stala v Amerike prehliadkovým pochodom. Vrchný veliteľ spojeneckých vojsk generál Eisenhower prehlásil, že pieseň im pomohla vyhrať vojnu. Pieseň bola preložená do takmer tridsať jazykov a bez textu sa hrá na celom svete.

 Kvetou růže, kdo ti za to může, žádný už ti dneska nepomůže, kvetou, zvadnou, lístečky z nich spadnou, jako slzy moje na tu trávu chladnou. Teče, voda, dokola se točí, to si nelitoval modré oči, já bych byla pro tebe jen žila, že mou lásku zklameš, to jsem nemyslela.
