3 TPR Geschichte Die Hefte und die Kulis sind billig, und die Taschenrechner sind auch ganz preiswert. Die Schultaschen sind aber ziemlich teuer; sie kosten 20 Euro.

4 TPR Geschichte Ingrid hat aber nicht viel Geld, nur 4 Euro. Sie kauft nichts.

5 TPR Geschichte Ihr Bruder Holger hat schon neue Schulsachen; sie geht nach Hause und nimmt sie.

7 Lehrfolie 4-2 Listening 1. Give copies of the transparency master to students. Compose a short paragraph describing the transparency. Have students circle the items you mention. STUDENT Sie kosten 20,00 EUR. Writing 3. Have students make a list of school supplies they need and add up the prices to see if they have enough money to pay for all of them. Give them a 10 Euro budget. Speaking/Group Work 4. Have students prepare a skit with roles for a salesperson (Verkäufer) and customers (Kunden). Using the lists they wrote in Activity 3, the customers should tell the salesclerk what items they would like. The salesclerk helps them locate the items and tells them the prices. As an additional challenge, you could provide them with the following model for completing their purchases: VERKÄUFER Ist das alles? KUNDE Ja, danke. Das ist alles. VERKÄUFER Also, 2 Kulis, ein Heft und ein Wörterbuch. Das macht zusammen 11,50 EUR. KUNDE Gut! (customer gives clerk money) VERKÄUFER Danke! KUNDE Auf Wiedersehen! Culture 5. Mention to students that sales tax (Mehrwertsteuer) is included in the cost of items purchased at stores in Germany. The price they see on the sales tags is the price they will pay at the register.
