Kongresszentrum “Darmstadtium” in Darmstadt Task: The extraordinary architecture of this new congress centre demanded high standards with regard to design and construction of sanitary installation. In the underground parking, where the technical rooms are, it was not possible to lay pipelines in the passage area. The toilets and wet rooms, especially destined for the concert hall, are spread and arranged irregularly in the entire building. It should be easy to carry out any future conversions or enlargements. Furthermore, a special water saving technology as well as a separation of the sewage water flows were planned. Additionally, for the different rent units of the catering area and the restaurant, the grease containing sewage quantities were to be discharged and led into the decentral grease separators. Solution: Through the use of vacuum technology and the associated very flexible pipeline installation the discharge of the individually arranged toilet- and bathrooms was quite easily practicable. By conducting the pipelines at each floor inside the suspended ceiling area, a laying of the pipelines in the underground parking area could be excluded. Likewise, a later conversion of the rent unit for a restaurant could be easily realized. By the use of the new RoeVac® SILENTIUM vacuum toilets the water consumption is reduced to only 1 liter per flush. Urine containing sewage will be collected separately. Specials: Hygienic discharge of wastewater quantities from two large canteen kitchen areas. For the first time at all, in this project drainage channels of canteen kitchens have been connected to a vacuum system. Here have been realized three different vacuum systems for urine, sewage- and grease-containing sewage quantities with a total of 5 vacuum stations. Aufgabe: Die außergewöhnliche Architektur des neuen Kongresszentrums stellte an die Ausführungs-technik der Sanitärinstallation besondere Ansprüche. In der Tiefgarage, in denen sich auch die Technikräume befinden, durften keine Rohrleitungen im Durchfahrtsbereich verlegt werden. Die Toiletten- und Nasszellen, speziell für den Konzertsaalbereich, sind in dem gesamten Gebäude unregelmäßig verteilt angeordnet. Spätere Erweiterungen oder auch Umbauten sollten einfach realisierbar sein. Des weiteren sollte eine Wasserspar-technologie eingesetzt, sowie die Trennung der Abwasserströme vorgenommen werden. Ferner mussten für unterschiedliche Mietbereiche des Cateringbereiches und des Restaurants die Fetthaltigen Abwässer entsorgt und den dezentralen Fettabscheidern zugeführt werden. Lösung: Durch den Einsatz der Vakuumtechnik und der damit verbundenen sehr flexiblen Leitungsinstallation konnten die individuell an- geordneten Toiletten- und Nasszellen problemlos entwässert werden. Durch die Leitungsführung innerhalb des abgehängten Deckenbereiches jeder Etage konnte eine Rohrleitungsmontage in der Tiefgarage ausgeschlossen werden. Auch der spätere Ausbau eines Mietbereiches zum Restaurant wurde unproblematisch umgesetzt. Der Einsatz der neuen RoeVac SILENTIUM Vakuumtoiletten reduziert den Wasserver-brauch auf nur noch 1 Liter pro Spülung. Urinabwasser wird getrennt gesammelt. Besonderheiten: Hygienische Entsorgung der Abwässer aus zwei Großküchenbereichen. Erstmals wurden hier die Entwässerungsrinnen der Groß-küchen an ein Vakuumsystem angeschlossen. Drei unterschiedliche Vakuumsysteme für Urin-, Schmutz- und fetthaltige Abwässer wurden mit insgesamt 5 Vakuumstation realisiert.
