2 How to conjugate a regular verb
Start with the infinitive. For most German verbs, that is the form ending in –en. For example: kommen. In English, we would translate the infinitive as “to come”. Take the –en off the verb to find the stem. So here, the stem is komm-. Put the personal endings on the verb stem.

7 REGULAR VERBS with stems ending in –s, -ss, β, -z, -tz
First, remove the –en from the infinitive to find the stem. For example: heiβen  heiβ-. Then, add the personal endings. These are all the same as before EXCEPT FOR THE DU- FORM, which only adds a –t, since there is some kind of –s sound there anyway. For example: it du heiβ-t, NOT du heiβ-st.
