Central Administration and monitoring now integrated into Solution Manager Work Centers Possible to drill down from Solution Manager Work center to SAP NetWeaver Administrator SAP NetWeaver Administrator 7.1 completely replaces Visual Administrator SAP NetWeaver Administrator used as the tool for Java system administration and monitoring SAP NetWeaver Administrator 7.1 has many cool features from a usability as well as semantic point of view Work Centers CE 7.1 AS Java Future … Portal 7.0 NWA 7.0 NWA 7.1 NWA 7.0 NWA *.* In this slide we describe the past “mistakes” and how we learnt from them to “improve” in the present and future. Past: Difficult to explain to customers why we had 2 tools/products with central capability like Solution Manager and Central NetWeaver Administrator. Customers had to install the Solution Manager and the Central NWA on separate boxes. Up to SAP NetWeaver 7.0, Visual Administrator was a major tool used for Java System Administration. Today and the Future: There is no Central NWA. Solution Manager has a new functionality (introduced in SP15) called Work Centers. There are two work centers called System Administration and System Monitoring which show overview aggregated information of systems in the landscape. It is possible to drill down to the NetWeaver Administrator of the individual systems.
