I am very pleased to heartily welcome the delegation from Ukraine. Now, let me give you a short introduction: My name is Karlheinz Fritsch. I am working for the urban administration. The field of action of our company, named GBG, includes the whole management and facility service of the public real estate in our city. We develop properties, we also service 600 hectare urban forests, we build public schools, kindergarten, libraries, official buildings and a lot of other public institutions. I think, you are now interested in our special subject called EMS- energy monitoring system.This system is collecting and checking the whole consumption of water, gas, electricity and district heating in every building where EMS is installed. We all are convinced that the improvement of energy efficience is one oft the most important tasks all over the world. Therefore the main purpose of collecting data is to reduce the consumption of energy. Our target is the reduction of energy-consumption approximately by 15 percent. That is very ambitious, I know. Bernhard Wallner 4 GBG Gebäude- und Baumanagement Graz GmbH First, we installed the EMS in fifty-three buildings. The financing in the amount of 1 million € was done by the office of environment. The consumption is measured in public schools, the city hall, in libraries and so on; all in all fifty-three buildings. An alarming system is also installed. For instance: If a pipe burst happens, the system promptly informs. Local overmodulation : manual override of the renter, when more energy is needed Central overmodulation : for instance when polling stations are needed; on Sundays a central overmodulation is also possible.
