Technische Universität München Forschungs-Neutronenquelle Garching, ZWE FRM-II In the evaporator the cooling liquid (boiling temperature –30°) evaporates and cooles the inside of the refrigerator. A compressor pumps the gas into the condenser at a pressure of 10 bar. The gas condensates and transfers its energy to the ambient. Through the capillary the cooling liquid passes again to the evaporator system. How does a refrigerator work?
