Options on disapproval of a DIS Prepare a second DIS (DIS 2) Publish the draft as a Technical Specification (TS) Back stage to Committee Draft Note ISO/DIS achieved 71% P-member approval, following approval of the CD2. Going back a stage is therefore not a viable option. 71% exceeds the 66% P-member approval needed to publish as a TS. Next steps We will also need to decide if we wish to hold an FDIS stage, and the pros and cons of doing so (probably at the next meeting. Note: ISO’s default position is now not to hold an FDIS We were pleased to note the results of the ballot on the DIS, which showed a 71% in favour but failed to secure the necessary votes for moving forward to FDIS.
