The following prepositions are always followed by the dative: Aus, bei, mit, nach, seit, von, zu Jenna geht früh morgens aus dem Haus. Nathan studiert schon seit ein paar Monaten Deutsch. Erika fährt zu ihrer Tante.

Two-case prepositions
The following prepositions can be followed by the accusative and by the dative: In, an, auf, unter, über, vor, hinter, neben, zwischen Frank steht hinter dem Haus. Frak geht hinter das Haus.
