Note: German 1 seats are directly in front of Frau Fleming’s desk; Honors seats are in the middle of the room; AP seats are near the cabinets. Then work on the activity provided there for you.

KM6 Das Alphabet: besondere Buchstaben special letters that don’t exist in English ä – Käse pronouced as „ay“ (long) or „eh“ (short) ö – Österreich pronounce „ay“ with lip-rounding ü – grün pronounce „ee“ with lip-rounding ß = ss but not always! Pay attention to which words are spelled with this special letter e Note that this vowel is pronounced as a schwa at the ends of words, in contrast to the so-called “silent e” in English.
