Scenario Overview – 1 Purpose and Benefits: Purpose Benefits As the reporting and analysis part of SAP POS DM, the Business content for POS Analytics allows to upload POS data efficiently to SAP BI using the PIPE (POS Inbound Processing Engine) and to create reports for the following areas: Store/Article Analytics Event Analytics Cashier Analytics Benefits Reporting is possible over very detailed POS data like store/sku, receipt and cashier POS Regional manager The retail calendar allows the reporting over fiscal year variants Analysis are possible for reason codes like e.g. returns Key process flows covered POS DM into SAP BI using Business Content POS Analytics Reports and Queries in SAP BI for POS Analytics

Scenario Overview – 3 Detailed Process Description: POS DM Business Process Send POS data from POS DM to BI POS Analytics Process PIPE processes the incoming data checking for consistency against the master data in BI and immediately processes the first task to provide BI with non-aggregated sales data Distribute transaction data into the Infocubes and Multicubes via BI load logic Reporting on a very detailed level of POS data like Store/Article, Receipt/Article and Store/Cashier

POS Analytics: Roles Not every employee is allowed to see all stores. Therefore three roles in BI has been created: POS Management (SAP_BW_RPA_POS_MANAGEMENT): Queries that compare the results of several or all stores. POS Regional Manager (SAP_BW_RPA_POS_REGIONALMANAGER): Queries that show several stores in comparison with one another. POS Store Manager (SAP_BW_RPA_POS_STORE_MANAGER): Queries for his own store.
