Take the infinitive spielen Knock off the –enspiel Add ge + _____ + tgespielt Can you remember the past participles of these verbs? machen, tanzen, lachen, hören, wohnen, kaufen, lernen

Its a bit like making a sandwich. You need two slices of bread: the auxiliary (part of haben) and a past participle (the ge word). Remember they are the slices of bread and go at either end of the sentence, with the filling in the middle!
