Vorbemerkung zur Umfrage und den Ergebnissen Ziel war es, einen aussagekräftiges Bild über Vertriebsbeschränkungen zu erhalten  Dritte europaweite Umfrage zu Beschränkungen im Onlinehandel durch Choice in eCommerce wurde in den Sprachen deutsch, englisch, französisch, spanisch und italienisch durchgeführt.  Die Umfrage lief im ersten Halbjahr 2016, wurde anonym durchgeführt und über MailChimp abgewickelt.  In offenen Fragen ohne Vorgabe irgendwelcher Hersteller- oder Markennamen wurden die Händler gebeten die Marken und Hersteller zu nennen, die ihrer persönlichen Erfahrung nach, ihrer Geschäft beschränken. Folgende Arten von Beschränkung wurden abgefragt: Preisvorgabe, Marktplatz-Verbot, Verbot internationaler Handel, Marketing-Verbote, unterschiedliche Einkaufskonditionen, Lieferverweigerung, unterschiedlicher Service  Über Unternehmer haben europaweit teilgenommen (n=7.033).  Sowohl über BVOH- und Choice in eCommerce eigene als auch externe Kanäle wie Marktplätze, Toolanbieter, Medien und Blogs wurden die Unternehmen europaweit angesprochen.  Auch reine stationäre Händler haben an der Umfrage teilgenommen. Mindestens 1/4 der zugelassenen Teilnehmer haben ein stationäres Geschäft.  Die Größe der zugelassenen Unternehmen spiegelt gut die Verhältnisse am Markt wider. Der Onlinehandel besteht zum größten Teil aus kleinen Unternehmen.  4% der Teilnehmer waren keine Händler und wurden nicht zugelassen.
