Using Possessive Adjectives

Possessive adjectives are words that show possession, like my and your in English.
They are usually followed by a noun mein Buch, meine CD and used in all cases and they are declined like the indefinite article ein.

Nominative, Dative or Accusative?
Ich lese meinen Krimi. Ich here is nominative because ich is performing the verb. meinen Krimi is accusative here because it has been performed by the verb. Mein Krimi ist in meinem Zimmer. Mein Krimi is nominative here, because it performs the verb action. Meinem Zimmer is dative here, because the preposition in takes the dative case.
