6 Hybrid Cloud: grundlegender Trend in der IT
Cloud-Service- Provider Hyperscale Cloud- Provider Private Public Die Herausforderung Die Bedeutung Der Public Cloud für die heutige IT-Landschaft stellt Enterprise- Administratoren und-Architekten vor neue Herausforderungen. Für viele wurde die Entscheidung über den Einsatz der Cloud bereits getroffen – Oft von der Führungs ebene – und nun stellen sich die großen Fragen zum „Was“, „Wann“ und „Wie“. Welche Applikationen sollen in der Cloud ausgeführt werden? Wann sollten sie dort – hin migriert werden? Wie werden die Daten dorthin migriert? Nur selten geht es hier jedoch um eine Alles-oder-Nichts-Entscheidung. Applikationen und Daten finden sich im Rahmen eines echten Hybrid-Modells sowohl im Datacenter als auch in den Cloud-Umgebungen. In einer solchen Hybrid Cloud-Umgebung Sollten Ihre Storage-Managementtools Sie bei den täglichen Aufgaben und bei der Platzierung Von Workloads zur kosteneffektiven Nutzung der Ressourcen in der Cloud, in Nähe der Cloud Oder vor Ort unterstützen. Da der Roh-Storage in Hyperscale Cloud-Umgebungen dem DAS-Storage Eines Servers ähnelt, ist er äußerst anfällig für Verluste. Um Cloud Storage-Umgebungen sicher nutzen zu können, benötigen Sie daher weitere Funktionen Wie RAID, Replizierung oder Snapshots, damit Ihre Daten auch bei Ausfällen erhalten bleiben. We have a rich portfolio, and it’s important to note that many of these elements in our portfolio apply to multiple segments of this model. In the replication software category - SM and SV can be used for BU as well as DR, and MC for HA. Probably the area of the greatest change this year is in our backup management portfolio: we have SP which continues to increase its innovation and adoption of cDOT functionality, we’ve also added NetBackup, which has just recently introduce a cDOT aware as well as Snapshot aware release, version 7.7. We also have integrations with Veeam, and IBM TSM, so regardless of what BU product that customer is using,  we have an answer and an integration with a partner that leverages  the unique strengths  in cDOT. For cloud integration, NPS, SS, and Cloud ONTAP provide that management and integration layer, to utilize the cloud for backup and DR.  And for those customers who are interested in cloud economics, but aren’t quite ready to make that step to the cloud, you can combine SteelStore with StorageGRID to provide an on-premises scalable cloud to achieve the economics that they are looking for without having to actually move to a public cloud service provider or hyperscaler. The other area that has seen significant change in the last year is partnerships on what are called Purpose Built Backup Appliances, or PBBAs. These are appliances built specifically to be use for backup, which are optimized for BU purposes, and they’re often integrated with backup management software. We have partnerships with Symantec and with CommVault, who both integrate their software with E-Series disk to give you an integrated, easy to install, readily deployable appliance.  A big change from last year is that now you are able to participate in the sales process and the commissions from selling those PBBAs. We have a rich portfolio, unmatched in the industry, that reinforces the data fabric, and gives unique value that no one else in the industry can provide (15:14). And remember that this can be a differentiator for selling clustered Data ONTAP for primary storage, and especially for our all-flash portfolio, where the combination of AFF and MCC is untouchable in the industry. © 2015 NetApp, Inc.
